Organizational Development

Organizational development (OD) is a planned, organization-wide effort to increase effectiveness and well-being through interventions grounded in behavioral science.

“A planned effort of the entire organization, controlled from the highest level, to increase the effectiveness and well-being of an organization through planned interventions in its processes, applying knowledge of behavioral science.”

Richard Beckhard
Improve organizational culture

Promote a positive, adaptable and innovative work environment.

How OD works

OD is based on principles from the behavioral sciences, such as psychology and sociology, and often involves strategic interventions that strengthen performance, employee well-being and the organization's ability to adapt. Some of the areas organizational development addresses include:

Organizational culture

A study of organizational climate to promote a positive work environment aligned with the values and objectives of the company, through mutual respect, trust, collaboration, equity, participation and facing problems.

Leadership and management

A leadership study to develop leadership skills and improve executive decision-making, balanced with well-being and happiness from positive psychology.

Team development

A dominant personality study (DISC method) to improve cohesion, communication and collaboration within work teams. Interpersonal relationships are a means to drive the organization.

The ultimate goal

To create change by working through dissatisfaction, vision, inaction and resistance to change.
